Cara Haughey

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Michigan State University, currently on the job market.

I primarily study health economics and public finance, with a particular emphasis on how social circumstances influence health and well-being, commonly called social determinants of health. I also draw insights from environmental and urban economics.

My current research examines demand for and provision of charitable social services, like food pantries.
